The Building Inspection/Zoning Department's main responsibilities include the following areas:
- Permitting and inspection of all new construction and remodeling/renovation of all existing structures
- Code enforcement of the Suamico Municipal Code, mainly Chapter 16 - Building Code, Chapter 17 - Subdivision Ordinance, Chapter 18 - Zoning Code, Chapter 19 - Floodplain District, and Chapter 20 - Shoreland-Wetlands
- Department staff serves the Village Board, Planning & Zoning Commission, Board of Appeals, and Design Review Committee.
Permit applications are available at the Municipal Services Center, 12781 Velp Avenue, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by clicking on the link below.
Permits with all supporting documents can be dropped off, mailed in, or emailed to bldginspection@suamico.org. Construction activity cannot begin until all permits have been approved by the department.
