WHEREAS, the public interest requires the Village of Suamico cooperate with the Town of Pittsfield in a joint road construction project that will involve roads both in the Town of Pittsfield and in the Village of Suamico;

WHEREAS, the Village of Suamico and the Town of Pittsfield have agreed to solicit bids jointly to perform the road construction project and will notice same jointly;

WHEREAS, the Village of Suamico and the Town of Pittsfield agree that the Town will be financially responsible for any and all road construction performed pursuant to this agreement within the Town’s municipal limits and that the Village will be responsible for any and all road construction within the Village’s municipal limits;

WHEREAS, the Town of Pittsfield’s chosen engineering firm will cooperate with the Village of Suamico on the initial design of the road contraction project within the Town and after such design is completed, the Village of Suamico shall assume the construction administration responsibilities, including but not limited to: drafting the construction documents, drafting the bidding documents, etc.

WHEREAS, each municipality shall be responsible for any costs incurred by their respective engineering firms on their individual projects.

WHEREAS, the Town of Pittsfield agrees that any time spent on the Town of Pittsfield’s portion of the road construction project by the Village of Suamico’s engineering firm will be the responsibility of the Town of Pittsfield on a regularly charged hourly basis.

WHEREAS, both the Village of Suamico and the Town of Pittsfield will post the joint bid notices for the road construction project.

WHEREAS, both the Village of Suamico and the Town of Pittsfield agree that the road construction project shall comply will all TRIP Program requirements.

WHEREAS, the Town of Pittsfield shall execute a resolution setting forth the same terms that are incorporated within this resolution.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village of Suamico Board of Trustees that the Village of Suamico agrees to cooperate with the Town of Pittsfield with regard to the above stated road construction project pursuant to the terms set forth herein.
