Snowmobile Law Changes

The legal operation of snowmobiles within Village limits has recently changed. Snowmobiles can be operated within the Village only on designated snowmobile routes and adjacent to county highways. Snowmobiles can’t be operated on any other Village highway, including the ditch or right-of-way portion of the Village highway. The operator must keep a distance of 10 or more feet from the paved portion of a county highway.

Snowmobile operation is permitted on designated routes as long as the operator obeys all applicable law such as speed limits, etc. A map of designated routes in the Village is available for viewing at the Village hall.
