The Building Inspection/Zoning Department's main responsibilities include the following areas:

  1. Permitting and inspection of all new construction and remodeling/renovation of all existing structures
  2. Code enforcement of the Suamico Municipal Code, mainly Chapter 16 - Building CodeChapter 17 - Subdivision OrdinanceChapter 18 - Zoning Code, Chapter 19 - Floodplain District, and Chapter 20 - Shoreland-Wetlands
  3. Department staff serves the Village Board, Planning & Zoning Commission, Board of Appeals, and Design Review Committee.

Permit applications are available at the Municipal Services Center, 12781 Velp Avenue, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by clicking on the link below.

Permits with all supporting documents can be dropped off, mailed in, or emailed to  Construction activity cannot begin until all permits have been approved by the department.
