An Ordinance Amending article 26 of the suamico zoning code
The Village Board of The Village of Suamico, Wisconsin Does Ordain as Follows:
Ordinance Section 1: Village of Suamico Article 26 is amended as follows:
Section 4.5 REQUIRED ELEVATIONS is inserted to read:
No permit shall be issued for the construction of any building on any parcel of land which may be adversely affected by wetlands, navigable streams, floodplains, drainage ways or storm water facilities until all required elevations have been submitted, in USGS datum, and reviewed for compliance with the following standards:
All residential dwellings and all commercial buildings shall have the lowest dwelling opening at a minimum of two feet above any expected high water elevation of any floodplain, wetlands, drainage way, or storm water system.
All accessory buildings shall have the lowest opening six inches above any expected high water elevation of any floodplain, wetlands, drainage way, or storm water system.
The Village may require the elevations to be established and certified by a registered land surveyor or professional engineer licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
The permit applicant is responsible for any and all costs involved in obtaining the necessary elevations.
Ordinance Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with or contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Ordinance Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect following passage and publication.
